you guys must be trolls. =P once again who cares about voilent games. thats all you "core gamers" care about. Its not about rpgs or shoot em ups or action adventure. Nope you guys dont know other genres of games exist. No when I say popular I say Nintendo. Aww you guys just hate cause your precious AAA games cant sell as well as a Nintendo game? Thats soo cute :3. I dont know about but this generation is gonna suck soo much balls. Graphics and specs are all you people care about and they do nothing to addto the gameplay. I sure hope Nintendo wins this gen so you guys can shut up. =P
Given that this rant made little logical sense, how are we trolls?

The console is barely more powerful than the PS3, it's not a case of them not making the engine work on their hardware. It's a case of the software greatly outclassing the hardware.
You are sligthly wrong there, the eninge can be ported, but they are lazy to do so, for a simple reason, they do not want to give nintendo a chance, they'd rather keep profits they have assured via PS3, 360 and PC than do two mayor things, review their dev policies and add new features, by that logic too, nothing could've reached the 360 since it's hardware would be outclassed by any software, but wait people adapted the software to the hardware, it's a no sell logic.

I wonder if the makers of unreal eninge still are open to that offer of porting the eninge to wii u if some one figured out how.

Oh and what policies i refer too? devs today rely on DLC at launch to fix bugs, performance issues and get the game in the market faster, very few nintendo games come with glaring glitches, or even game breaking bugs, Skyward sword is more or less an exception, if only due to the devs not testing all variants of the song quest.

WiiU is barely getting ports from PS3/360.
When the 720/PS4 are released and as their specs outclass the WiiU. I don't think the WiiU will get any 3rd party game.
Heh the WiiU is missing games such MGR,GTAV,DmC,Bioshock Infinite, MGS PP, MGS GZ,BF4,etc.

Wii U is not next gen..people who keep saying that are idiots. What is next gen? Cutting edge graphics and shitty gameplay? Or the same rehash of first person shooters? Alright So Nintendo isnt just a hardware company you know..they make software too. As a fan of gaming. I quite frankly dont give a shit how graphics and specs are. All I care is is the game good.
People aren't saying "the Wii U isn't a next-gen console" just to bash on it for having bad graphics...this is going to be very important to the Wii U's success (or lack of). If it isn't considered next-gen, it isn't going to get next-gen games.

I had a feeling the Wii U would have problems with third party support.

I like how you seem to think that not worshiping the ground Nintendo walks on equals being an elitist "bro" gamer. You don't see the irony in your post, do you?

I think one of Nintendo's biggest problems is they seem to think that core gamers will flock to the tablet controller. To be fair Nintendo's unique approach to games is a selling point to many but every advertisement I do see is either someone using the touchscreen in some way or asymmetric gameplay, something that not very many people outside Japan can make full use of. Most people won't buy the Wii U just for these features, a big part of why the Wii did so well was the games not just motion controls.

Lol @ the noob who compared shooter rehash's to Mario games.

The WIi-U is not next gen and wasn't supposed to be. It is last gen.5 and a building block for nintendo's true next gen console that will probably be announced next year. it was released to take advantage of the long gap between last gen / next gen. People dying for a new toy bought it. They pretty much just upgraded the wii.. I don't know why people can't see this lol. Time will show

Do you have any clue how expensive it is to develop a console? They are going all in with the Wii U, there won't be another one next year that does't even make sense.

Another one will be announced next year, released in two. Do you actually doubt that they have something in development right now? Nintendo isn't clueless, they did not intend for the wii-u to compete with the ps4/720, they have far more insight then you or I. The wii-u is just a technical building block. More of a "Wii.5" then a "Wii-2".

Then explain the wii.

Nintendo doesn't care about third party developers.

They don't have to. What would you like me to explain about the Wii? It was an incredible success!

Then care to explain who Nintendo expects will buy it? Most people who already went out and bought a Wii U aren't going to to want to shell out for yet another $300+ console, especially when Nintendo seems to have trouble supporting the current one.

Why do you say that? The people who already bought the wii-u are the core fan base and would buy a new nintendo in 2 years without a thought. I don't have a wii-u yet but I plan on having one eventually for the games that my ps3/4 won't offer me.

The wii-u sold a decent amount at launch offering third party titles that were available on other consoles for what was already a long period of time. If you don't think they can do the same thing in 2 years with a fresh console releasing with any of there outstanding first party titles you may be delusional.
