Oh! They've now added a touchpad to their XBOX controller? So basically done what Sony's planned on their PS4 pad.

I've not even heard it touted around much either. Have no review websites like Neoseeker, IGN, etc been given a go? And with E3 2013 pretty much the week after, I imagine most gamers would hold off to see what Sony and Microsoft are offering for their next consoles. Ouya aren't even registered on the E3 exhibitor's list which even if it is a casual console, it's a big opportunity to miss out on.

To say they raised $8m (and I assume the R&D of the Ouya console didn't amount to anywhere near that) they seem to not be bothered about marketing it.

TBH the biggest market I could see for this is just for Android developers developing for Android itself and not the operating system due to the cost.

Outside of a few Internet users boasting about it, I've yet to really hear anything on it outside of their site-sponsored videos.

No ads, no well-known reviewers, nothing. It's odd.

You do realize since its coming out prior to the PS4, ie right now, its highly unlikely they saw Sony's reveal and decided to tack on a touchscreen. & as far as the Xbox controller argument, if it ain't broke why fix it?

This console isn't direct competition for the big three. Its not meant to be. Its a console that was developed over a few million dollars to bring something new to the industry. Android games are a bigger market than you think. Developers love the free-to-play model because its low cost & low risk usually resulting in pretty good profit.

I'm not saying its going to pull a Wii, but don't sleep on it. I think it'll be pretty successful all things considered.

Looks awesome, I'll have to read more about it. Not far from the release date either, should be interesting. Looks exactly like an Xbox controller, shape and button configuration.

I actually think this looks pretty cool. Well, I mean the system itself looks reallllly sexy. I'd imagine the games will be shit to be honest. xD Android isn't really a "gaming" company. I think it should just stick to its mobile devices/tablets.

Unless, that is, they're planing on having some of the popular modern games that are on PS3/Xbox360, then maybe it'll have some more success.

Yup even I can't deny how great the console looks.
Well you can always buy those emulators on the Android market SNES,N64,GBA,Genesis, PSX,etc.
Instead of buying that crappy shovelware.

That's where they won. I don't know their profit margin on hardware, but by keeping it so cheap they're encouraging consumers (and especially parents) to take a shot with one.
