Borderlands 2 has no shortage of guns for players to use, with pretty much every type imaginable (and some that aren't) available in the game. What it does have a shortage on is the amount you can carry, as the maximum backpack size (and the bank, too) is even smaller than what it was in Borderlands 1. However, all of that will soon change as Gearbox has announced a free update to increase the player inventory.
Posting on the official Gearbox forums, PR and marketing manager Adam Fletcher confirmed the "inventory/backup/storage" is set to increase soon. More ammo SDUs are also going to be available in the game's black market, plus the maximum amount of eridium is seeing an increase, too.
No specific date was mentioned for when the free update drops, but Fletcher did say to expect more information later this week. Chances are it drops the same day as the Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode open, which is next Tuesday. That's the same day as the level cap increases to 61 (if you bought the Season Pass or shell out $5), so it could be a potentially busy day for Borderlands 2 players.
It certainly looks like more joypuking is in order for Borderlands 2 fans. Level cap, storage, and ammo increases; UVH Mode; Krieg, the sixth character, in May; and the fourth and final DLC, which Gearbox is calling the biggest yet, due by the end of June.
