Wargaming.net has a good thing going with World of Tanks (and other vehicles), so why not bring it to the mobile market? That's the deal with their new World of Tanks Blitz, an upcoming mobile version "inspired by" the original on PC. Yep, World of Tanks is heading to iOS and Android.
WaT Blitz (Heh, WAT!) will feature nations like the US, Germany, USSR, and other, with an "impressive" collection of vehicles that range from medium to destroyers. Since touchscreens are a thing, the mobile-based Blitz controls will require little more than your thumbs. And some strategy, obviously, since tactics are a big part of the franchise.
Wargaming.net is promising "console-quality" visuals too. PVP will support 7v7 formats.
Blitz is just one of many recent moves from Wargaming in their expansion. Over the last several months, the company purchased financially troubled studios Gas Powered Games and F.E.A.R. developer Day 1 Studios.
