Despite pulling in more Game of the Year Awards than most franchises can typically every dream of for The Walking Dead, Telltale Games dropped off the face of the Earth for a few months. Give us something, Telltale, anything really. Oh, here we go: a teaser site for The Key Party. Starting today, a character will be introduced a day until a full announcement on April 1. Is this an April Fool's Day thing?
Err, so, a key party, at least according to current culture, is a party where couples place their keys in a bowl as they enter. Then one person from each couple selects a pair of different keys from a bowl and well... things get dirtier from their. I'm not sure if that's the sort of key party Telltale is talking about. Except that the website is barren except for a picture of a bowl.
Here's what we know. We know Telltale Games is working on three official projects, the second season of The Walking Dead and some content to fill the gap between seasons, a project based around the popular Fables graphic novel, and also a King's Quest title of some kind. The Key Party, we suppose, could be any or none of those things... though it'd feel weird. Still, it feels kind of good to remind ourselves those things are in development nonetheless, right?
Look forward to a full reveal of whatever The Key Party is on April 1. We'll be sure to update the post when the first character arrives, and any others over the next week if they're especially informative.
Update: The first guest has arrived, but what exactly we're supposed to read from this is... a mystery.
