The more we see of Beyond: Two Souls, the more we need to play it as soon as possible. Several sites across the net got the opportunity to play the game in recent weeks, and while we weren't one of them, we have issue taking advantage of the new gameplay, screenshots and concept art that are now freely available. Beyond is a lot more than it may seem, unsurprisingly.
In the demo that's been shown to the press, Ellen Page has investigate a hospital where obviously things have gone very wrong. Dead bodies line the floor and several ghostly apparitions appear. We also get an introduction to Ellen Page's "second soul" when Ellen is a child. The second soul can see beyond walls, move objects around, and even take possession of people briefly.
A number of screenshots and pieces of concept art also available, showcasing what appears to be a homeless woman feeling the cold of winter. There's an assortment of other interesting shots, too. I believe the majority of them are meant to show off the emotion found in each person's face, while also portraying the bleakness and rather dark atmosphere of the game.
Beyond: Two Souls is coming exclusively to PlayStation 3 on October 8. With every bit of news we hear about Beyond, we get a little more creeped out (looking at you Willem Dafoe). To be fair, it's a pretty great feeling, a feeling you don't feel very often in gaming.
