Just because most of us said that the Multiplayer was the weakest, doesn't mean that they take it and think that's the right way to go, in an effort to work on it. Such a dumb move Crystal Dynamics! Most of us didn't even buy the game for the MP and even more of us didn't even play the MP for like ten minutes!

Or said differently: they're employing parts of a relatively expensive external team to continue to "support" the game for a specific period of time ahead, before they will be let go together with extra staff employed around release at a point where ceo types realize the game fails to draw in hordes of microtransaction-foragers. (Which they will blame on piracy and the sometimes bad press over the tressfx thing, because with no context this will look negative).

Instead of employing a couple of guys in between another project to create a few new forgotten tombs.

Which in the real world, outside Neogaf, actually would make people play the game another few hours. Since the game is actually good, instead of a boredom simulator where you run around in circles for 60 hours to get a trophy.

It doesn't matter, if the game is good, some people will keep it anyhow regardless of the production of DLCs or not. If the game itself is bad, people will sell it back eventually.

Given the casual gamer which these games cater too, they are usually bombarded with a constant stream of good games that they want to play and can sell their games towards these new ones. Why would a casual keep a singleplayer that was designed to be played a few times? It doesn't matter how good games are, even the best games get traded in unless they cater to a more niche group that really appreciate the game (which usually means that said game has a lot of depth which this game lacks).

Agreed. Tomb Raider's multiplayer, in its current state, pales in comparison to its excellent single player component. Hopefully, the new DLC at least slightly improves the multiplayer.

At least they didn't take any part of the main story to sell it as DLC... and those who got the game played the complete single player experience, just like in the past. So this is good news.

I can't stand the MP portion of this game.
I guess they just want us all to trade in the game once we're all done with the story mode.
