Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut coming to Wii U with touch-screen features, overhauled bosses
Dude has got robot arms
One of Square Enix's most popular titles of 2011 has been announce for the Wii U. The Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut isn't just just a direct port, instead adding several features that will be exclusive to the platform -- such as GamePad functionality and all sorts of DLC. Let's not broach the topic of the biggest Wii U announcement in a month behind a two year old game. Oops.
Here's what gamers can expect from the Director's Cut of Human Revolution, in terms of Wii U functionality -- features they won't find on other platforms:
- Touch-screen hacking
- Interactive map editing
- Augmented sniping
- Grenade throwbacks
- ... other neural hub enhancements
- Miiverse integration
- Developer commentaries and in-game guides
In addition to the Wii U stuff, gamers can expect all sorts of additional content and fixes that are naturally released over the lifespan of a game. For instance, both Tongs' Rescue and the entire Missing Link DLC chapters are now completely integrated into the single player game. Other changes like overhauled bosses, better balance for combat, improved AI and visual upgrades will also be added.
By all means, right on to Square Enix for doing what they can for the Wii U -- Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a great game and the Director's Cut will be a great addition to the Wii U. That said, if Game of the Year editions for two year old games are the best the Wii U can do right now... danger, Will Robinson. Danger.
