Resident Evil 6 PC isn't out until next week, but Capcom and Valve couldn't wait to announce their crossover project. What crossover, you ask? A Resident Evil 6 and Left 4 Dead 2 crossover. All-you-can-eat zombies and guns, exclusively for PC.
So how's this going to work, exactly? Come April 5, about two weeks after Resident Evil 6 is finally released for PC, players will be able to download some free DLC that adds the four characters from Left 4 Dead 2 to The Mercenaries: No Mercy mode, yet another PC exclusive from Capcom. Each character -- Nick, Rochelle, Ellis, and Coach -- will come with customized weapon loadouts, too.
On Valve's end, Left 4 Dead 2 will be receiving new enemies, likely in every game mode. Making the leap from Resident Evil 6's infected bestiary are the Lepotitsa, Napad, and Ogroman. Slightly less catchy than the more straightforward names of Left 4 Dead's zombies, but oh well. Again, this free content is for the PC version only, and presumed to arrive in April as well.
We'd really love to hear the L4D survivors try saying those names, too.
