This game makes me realise, that GTA is Disney, and Saint Row is Warner Brothers.

While GTA keeps it consistent, Saint Row likes to go over bounderies and exploit the possibilities by going over the top with it.

Actually, it's more like a Tex Avery turn from this point.

Stitch - I don't see GTA as keeping it consistent actually. The difference in the way the game played between GTA: SA, and GTA IV was considerable. Went from arcade-y over the top-ness to a more realistic style of physics and graphics. Saints Row has become an evolution of the older GTA formula from my perspective. More wackiness and naughtiness.

With consistent, I meant that it was mostly keeping it in bounderies, sure you can do some wacky things in San Andreas, but they still kept everything in line, not going too much over the top with it, even without using some cheats.

While this game has Superheroes, and giant monster cans and a weapon that can make someone's head go all cartoony with the big eyes plopping out.

If GTA does that, then it just would be too much

That's my comparisation of Disney and WB, they mostly keep their animation consistent, not over the top, while WB with the looney tunes just goes further then them and just don't let themselves be limited and use more posibilities, but this game, looks more like Tex Avary to me, going even further and more wacky-er that just has no limitations whatsoever.

Whatever they come up with or want, they'll just add it, and say FU to limitations or consistency.

" Saints Row IV picks up the story where Saints Row: The Third left off. The boss of the Third Street Saints is now the President of the United States of America

emmm, when did this happen?

That was solely because of the new experience for rockstar developing for the new gen. New engine that they needed to make sure was good = less time putting in the really cool stuff from SA and expanding on it.

Other than that trailer being annoying to watch (warning to epileptic ppl (spelling?)) this game is looking to be another fun game from those devs. I'm looking forward to it, life is serious as it is, some humor (even over the top) is never a bad thing.

Yeah, I don't really even try to compare GTA with Saints Row anymore. Saints Row is more for over the top campy fun whereas GTA you really get more involved in the story.

Arames Word. I love seeing both series really discovering what they do best and nailing it, perhaps due in part to the existence of the other.

It's become more like Crackdown or Infamous or Prototype. Thing is I originally got into this game because it was a fun semi-realistic city sandbox game like GTA. It was silly and fun while still being the game it's supposed to be. It isn't anymore. Saints Row the third got boring after a month unlike the first and second Saints Row. First Saints Row was the best one.
