Overhaul Games is hard at work on the Android version of Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, but the team has run into a bit of a snafu. You see, there are so many Android devices out there that Overhaul isn't sure which ones to prioritize development for first. That's where you come in, as the studio is looking for player feedback on pinpointing the Android device used by the majority of BG:EE players.
Trent Oster, Creative Director on Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, had the following to say on the matter:
The team is working hard to bring one of the greatest role-playing games of all time, Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, to Android devices. However, we're a small team and need to make sure we focus our efforts on the devices our players are actually using.
There's a poll up on the BG:EE forums with ten of the most popular Android tablets, such as the Amazon Kindle Fire HD, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Google Nexus 7 and 10, and ASUS Transformer TF700. Overhaul is asking you to vote on the tablet you want to see BG:EE on first, with comments limited strictly to any missed devices. You need to be a member of the BG:EE forums in order to vote, but the sign-up should be fairly quick.
PC, Mac, and iPad gamers can already enjoy Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition for their respective platform, and with the help of the community, Android gamers can soon join in.
