As far as I know Wii U isn't going well in Australia....
Unfortunately - in these tough economic times though, it's not as if we can just up and buy Wii Us and PS4s all willy nilly when we got bills and shit to pay for!

Yet the PSVita,PS3,PSP,Wii, and Xbox360 are outselling the WiiU.
Looks like the economic times aren't to blame.
The PS3, PSP, Wii and 360 came out before the global financial crisis happened. That, and there isn't a huge jump from PS3 to Wii U like there was from PS2 to 360 so there's no urgency to buy a Wii U (and a PS4 for that matter) - the shit economy is just a nail in the coffin.

I find it funny that you're acting like the Vita is selling like the Wii when, like the Wii U, it's selling about as well as the leading brand of bottled farts.

So?
Last week sales (Or maybe 2 weeks ago now) showed that PS3,PSP, Wii and 360 are outselling the WiiU. Not that PS3,PSP, Wii and 360 sold more units in total than the WiiU. If tthe economy is so shit right now, why are people wasting money on the other consoles? Also there's no jump from the PS3 to the WiiU because that console is shit. No third party support, barely any first party games, and not to mention the casual crowd that helped the Wii has moved on to the smartphones.

I said that the Vita is outselling the WiiU.
Pretty embarrising when the Vita is outselling Nintendo's home console hahaha

Because they're cheaper and/or they have more value for your money with way more games in general available.

Hey, I never said I was a huge supporter of the Wii U - like I said, my Wii U is pretty much a Wii.

That's not what I meant by a "huge jump". Besides, I know all that already.

No, what I meant was this - Remember when you watched trailers for the then-new Wii, PS3 and 360 games while buying a copy of - I dunno - Metal Gear Solid 3 or Thief: Deadly Shadows? Remember how much more impressive they looked than those PS2/Xbox/Gamecube games you were buying? THAT is what the PS3, 360 and Wii had, and what the Wii U (and PS4 if that shit press conference is anything to go by) lacked and is still lacking.

Well to be fair, the PSP and Wii can be bought for at least half the price of the Wii U. The Wii U's main problem is the lack of games. When money is tight people will go where they get the most value, but the Wii U doesn't offer much for its price yet. I know people who have trouble justifying blowing $40 on 3DS games right now because of how the economy is.

The Vita actually sold out in Japan after the price drop they had, although its Japan after all and handhelds are huge there. Still, it does skewer sales numbers a bit.

I heard that, especially for those of us that struggle to make cost of living due to having no choice but to work jobs that don't pay enough to make said cost of living.

Indeed, Cost of living issues affect us for gamers!

Plus, Wii U's price must come down for all of us to play, affordability is the main issue here, no matter what kinds of software upgrade Nintendo produce, the price must come down, I know, Miyamoto's pocket is still full of million yens each year!!

Price of Wii U still too high considering its inferior technologies implemented inside the machine if you compare with PS4 or future Xbox 720!!

Nah, we (socialit gamers) enjoy a greater amount of income and income equality than you do. I'm going for PS4, cos WiiU will be dead by the time PS4 releases anyway!

You do now that Nintendo's profits don't equal Miyamoto's paycheck, right?

I also wouldn't put all your eggs in one basket if I were you. Not only is the Wii U actually rather cheap for a new console, if your expecting the PS4 and 720 to be more powerful while remaining just as affordable then your sorely mistaken.

Besides, its not like the current HD consoles are much cheaper than the Wii U either

Seeing as it barely outclasses the ps3 in specs of course it's not that expensive. Last gen technology.
Also Kaz already said the PS4 won't be $600 again.
So guess what looks like he's not mistaken. :V

Doesn't matter it's still selling more than the WiiU. Then it looks like Nintendo also has drop their price then.
Also before anyone says "The WiiU sales will be as good as the Wii once the major titles such as 3d mario, zelda, kirby are released"
Won't happen they don't have the casual crowd anymore. The n64 and gamecube also had those major first party IPs and guess what, the sales were terrible for them.

I never said Sony's next console will be $600 again. My point was higher specs don't come cheap, I really wouldn't be surprised if the PS4 and "720" were around $400. When I said the Wii U was cheap I was referring to how its still rather close to the launch price of past consoles, a lot of past consoles were $200-$250 so the Wii U's price isn't a very big jump. However, the weakest console is the one that usually does the best so I wouldn't count it out just yet.

The reason for the Vita's price drop was (supposedly) due to the price difference caused by the yen being so strong. That doesn't mean the Wii U is in need of one.
Your right about the Wii U not doing as well as the Wii, but nobody is saying it will nor do they believe any other console will either.
