EA it's just one massive screw up after another? Have to say though this has been extremely entertaining. I'm pretty sure people can get more entertainment out of visiting the official simcity forums and get a good laugh at the lolfest going on in there more than actually "playing" Lobbycity.

It'd be more entertaining to actually play the game... Now that I have a PC that can handle it.

They don't even have a stream going for the lobby warmers. At least when I get my tires rotated, I get to watch news or sports, or at least get free popcorn.

Look like it's available again. Wouldn't it be great if it was only unavailable because they'd sold out of license keys at record speeds? Maybe they went back to EA to get more, which is why it's up again.

Wow, I'm still in amazement that major releases can have such major issues at launch. It also stinks that this game has no single player or offline mode.

No, It wouldn't. I want to watch EA burn.

Harbin, Thank you for showing us that article. Now i want all EA employees from all branches of EA to kill themselves by the most painfullest way possible while i burn all their headquarters's down. What happened since 2009 or slightly earlier that made them become this *bleep*ed up? I need to look at EA's history.

Not even a goodwill gesture from EA. Can EA become bigger twats than they are right now? The answer is yes.

Steam doesn't even have these problems when launching games and they have thousands. The worst thing that usually happens is slow speeds.... not an entire server crash. I would only ever buy this game if it appears on offer. Not the £45 EA are charging for a digital download on Origin... hell, how can you even have a limited edition digital download?

Love how when the beta was done it was highly anticipated and well reviewed... since then it's been dropping like flies. The user review on Amazon.co.uk? 52 1-star reviews out of 56. If this game was done and released by another company that knows how to do these things properly, then no doubt it would've been successful.

The hatred of user reviews on Metacritic.

What I find hilarious is that they removed "non-critical" multiplayer features, like leaderboards. They removed online, multiplayer features so that you can succesfully connect to the server to play an offline, singleplayer game online.
None of this would have happened if they hadn't forced that supid always online DRM.

I agree with everything everyone is saying, but in spite of all the BS, if you can get into the game and play for a few hours (which I have), it is pretty great. Not the best SimCity ever but it's very addictive.

^ Maybe but the damage is done by the DRM, poor planning and EA's "Shitty ain't our fault so don't blame us" response.

My first impression of the game is actually great but I was in rage after 2 long days of waiting and not being able to play with it due to server problems. It's back now and I hope it'll continue like this.
