Kaindog Very, but they're also very complex and in-depth for a third-person fantasy RPG series. The first one especially has a lot of "rough" spots. The second may be one of the best games of this generation.

CD Projekt just never stops giving, does it?

I'm really going to have to pick all these games up at some point, if only to show my support for a developer that is focussed on putting out a wonderful product rather than a game they can get a lot of money for.

bluexy 1 had rough edges, but the environment was so well crafted that it just stays imprinted in your memory. From these shots Witcher 3 seems to be going in the same direction

I don't see how a Witcher game can work on the consoles, but if anyone can make it happen, it's CPR. (Heck, they did it with W2, right?) Anyway, I'm definitely preording this for PC ASAP, I can't wait!

Kaindog Like Bluexy said, they're very in-depth, and while the first was a little rough around the edges, they're incredibly immersive. Witcher is hands down one of the greatest games, if not the greatest RPG series, I've ever had the honor of playing. It's a very mature game, which could turn some people off, but it has strong characters, great quests, a rediculously well-made leveling/crafting/alchemy system, and amazing, beautiful art, from characters, to monsters, to environments. It's a really strong, and highly recommended game.

Whys that? The next gen consoles are basically shipping with hardware identical to mid range PC, the 720 has a x86 architecture using DX11.1 (or higher if MS kick out an update) and the PS4 is also x86 but possibly OpenGL, they shouldn't have any problems on a technical basis. Given its an RPG the input is also naturally suited to a controller.

It has nothing to do with the hardware, The Witcher just doesn't seem like a game that would play very well when mapped to a controller. Given you can get a mouse/key combo on them, but the majority of console gamers use controllers. I know there's a couple games that don't transfer well between PC and Consoles for that simple matter, RPGs included.

Just when I thought CD Projekt couldn't make a better game... they add ponies.

I actually thought Witcher 2 played really fluently on controller, the only marginal disadvantage i noticed over the keyboard/mouse combo was in equipping less frequently changed gear like armour and weapons. I guess it just comes down to preference though

lKasHl Agreed, everyone has a different prefence. I've only owned the PC version, so I wasn't sure how the console fared. It's good to hear that it transferred well, this game truly should get more credit, and continuing on consoles is a great way to get it some more exposure.
