The newest Black Ops 2 DLC pack, "Revolution," has officially arrived for PC and PlayStation 3, right on schedule. If nothing else, Activision is pretty good about keeping up with their own release dates.
Certainly some of you have better things to do than sit around all day waiting for Call of Duty map packs to hit your respective platforms. And for those who don't, we're glad to have made your day.
The "Revolution" pack brings with it four maps in some rather choice locations. Okay, some of them are, but then you've got a hydro-electric plant that really doesn't seem like a great place to be shooting each other. Safety protocals, right?
- Hydro: Located in Pakistan, this hydro-electric plant comes complete with a lethal spillway that floods with very little warning.
- Grind: Set in a skate park in Venice Beach (the birthplace of skateboarding!), quarter-pipes and curved surfaces drive players away from easy cover and into intense firefights.
- Downhill: A ski resort in the French Alps, this snowy map is complete with a moving gondola system that can both offer cover and crush you to death.
- Mirage: Located in China's Gobi Desert, a luxury resort has been ravaged by a sandstorm.
The highlight of the DLC has to be the new "Die Rise" Zombies map, a ruined metropolis based on China's cities. The new "Turned" Zombies mode that allows players to become undead a la Left 4 Dead is also something else worth looking into.
Now if you're playing this game on Wii U, then... Uh, we apologize for the lack of news.
