When we first heard Assassin's Creed would be coming to the Caribbean, you can understand we'd be skeptical. Sure, it would allow Ubisoft to really fully utilize their ship captaining features and tech, but with the wider gaming community screaming Brazil, Japan and elsewhere... the Caribbean? Introducing Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, essentially confirmed via a leaked poster (Kotaku) and a blurry screenshot (Examiner) with LENS FLARE.

According to the anonymous tipsters, posters will be going up at retailers starting on March 4, which likely implies an official announcement later this week. So if you want to feel boss, wander into your local GameStop and ask to preorder Assassin's Creed IV and when they ask, "How do you know about that?" just whisper you've got friends on the inside.

I don't even need to think about this, a pirate-themed Assassin's Creed title sound absolutely exciting. I'm a big fan of swashbuckling, buccaneers and grag. Since I've already completed the Three Trials to become I pirate, I believe I'm well prepared for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. Perfect move for the franchise, I believe, and I can't wait to see everything Ubisoft has cooked up soon.

You know what would be better? Lady pirate protagonist.

This seems like it would be better suited to DLC. A story with a similar premise to Skyrim's Dragonborn DLC, catch a ride on a boat to another island. In AC's case, Connor travels to another location on his lovely vessel. Gawd! The naval sections of AC3 were SO damn delicious! ... shame about the rest of the game.

not sure about this, cant really see a pirate thing working well for ac 4, but i havent spent much time on the ship stuff on ac3, it will be intresting to see who the next person is now that desmond is no more, i'll put this off til i see more info on it

I didn't really connect with Connor, so it doesn't bother be as much. Altair however, is bad as. I find his story and time period far more interesting. Which is probably why I thought ACIII is the worst of the lots, it's like they got really lazy at the end, just taped everything together and tied a pretty ribbon on it.

I think should be a DLC, just like Brotherhood and Revelations should have been.

It would have been awesome to have seen Connor go on for another game at least. I feel like Ezio got so much love, and Altair and Connor have barely had chance.

I expected AC IV to be set in an unlikely location, but damn. Never would have guessed the Carribbean, haha. It most certainly sounds bad ass tho. Think about it, a heavier emphasis on naval warfare (which was crazy in AC 3) and pirates.
