Sony's list of third-party developers for PlayStation 4 is inspiring, however unlikely
More likely a list of developers with dev kits
During the PlayStation Meeting 2013, where Sony unveiled their next-gen console the PlayStation 4, a brief image flashed overhead of all the console's third-party developers. After the event was over, Sony even provided a list that was even more impressive. The list includes almost 150 developers from North America, Europe and Asia, which makes us think it doesn't accurately portray the whole story.
I'm thinking that the list is more likely representative of developers who have acquired a dev unit, which is a pretty common occurance for any studio that can afford to consider multi-platform releases. In other words, is it likely that each of these developers are making a game for the PlayStation 4 right now? Definitely not. Is it likely each of these developers could potentially make a game for the PlayStation 4? Ehh, sure. Maybe.
Basically, every studio you'd expect to be here is here, and then the rest of them too. Wait! That one developer is missing! Sound the alarm, it's time to burn this place down.

Still, nice to see NIS on the list. Maybe the next Disgaea game will be on PS4? Of course, they're hardly using all the power of the PS3 as it is XD
Also nice to see Level-5, tri-Ace and From Software on the list. At least the more "niche and lesser-known" developers are also getting some attention for the new generation of consoles.
Interesting to see Bethesda there.
I'd be surprised if they weren't on the list.
Wonder if the next Fallout will be on the PS4 and next X-box though. Not this Fall, but perhaps the next one?
I wonder what Microsoft's will be like.
Likely many of these devs will be releasing smaller network released games too, especially now that they have more control over the client updates/patches. It's the most freedom they've had ever (on a console, mind you), and most would be anxious to appeal as soon as possible, especially those Japanese developers that had to jump through higher hurdles (that were practically set on fire) during the PS3 age.
No doubt Dark Souls is coming for the PS4. The early interviews stated the visuals they saw being played looked far better than what the PS3 was capable of.
