Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of Bungie coming out with new stuff. But this just looks... a little too similar to a certain other game I won't mention. I'm liking the fact they're referring to this as an "MMO" though... But I really hope the single player campaign will be a good enough reason for me to consider getting this.

I won't discourage anyone from having their worries. With the fog around the game it's tough not to worry... this is such a huge game for Bungie it could quite literally bring the company down if it fails.

At the same time, I'd encourage everyone to wait until they show some raw gameplay. Right now they're talking ideas, and naked ideas without gameplay to back them up sound... scary, or lame, or even terrible. When it comes down to it though, I'm willing to bet Bungie delivers an epic shooter experience that will make Halo fans quiver.

Again though, it's no one's fault but Bungie's for not showing gameplay and setting everyone at ease.

Yeah, I agree. I have enough faith in Bungie that they would at least make a quality game. Would that game be infinitely better if it was on PC? You know, I think it might be, but since evidently they do not care for ugh... PC shooters.... you know, yeah.

Quake was the best competitive shooter game in my opinion, and believe me, you don't see people playing it on a console. When I bought FEAR 1/2, I didn't want it on a console. When I got half-life, I didn't want it on a console. I even bought Halo 1 and 2 for PC when they came out. I had the Xbox versions too, but, when it comes to shooters, and just about anything but an RPG, I'll prioritize PC over console. (My computer runs games better than consoles anyway)

I think it might even be released also on the new Xbox console code named Durango. I can't wait to see what Destiny brings upon us. I really miss Bungie.

I don't want to form an opinion without more information, but FPSes are Bungie's bread and butter.

Whoah, whoah, whoah, whoah. 2:05, I've seen that in screenshots here before. This game has certainly piqued my interest.

I think the most curious screen is at 1:19, where a list is shown of different game "modes" that you can join. This feels much more like a console, Halo-type of multiplayer as opposed to anything remotely like an MMO.

Yeah but I remember that particular part because it reminded me alot of Star Wars back when I saw them and I got all excited, didn't realize until now that it's the same game. I might preorder tomorrow.

Let's be honest guys, there are just a lot *more* console gamers. And that lends itself to evidence that most people prefer to play with a controller. They're designed to play in a way a mouse and keyboard are not. Denying that based on personal preference is just ignoring the state of things. It's okay that many of you still prefer that experience, but most of us prefer an interface designed for the thing we want to do. My mouse and keyboard are well designed for typing and using the GUI on my computer. They aren't designed with gaming in mind (though you can buy such things). My Gamecube controlled had a crack team working tirelessly to make something that fit in my hand and work perfectly for gaming.

Bungie's been making such amazing single user, story focussed experiences, I really hope they don't turn this into an MMO or even Borderlands style game. I really like the art direction I'm seeing in the reveal, and also the background story. I want the storytelling and unfolding lore to be told with in-game footage, interactive elements, and really immersive experiences, not grinding missions handed as text descriptions out by NPCs. If they do that as a really strong single player experience with co-op and multiplayer as optional enhancements to the experience, then they can easily create an entire 3-4 game franchise. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed, would love to see another well made, AAA sci-fi franchise come about.

Some people have told me it will be on the idea of Borderlands and WoW. I personally never played WoW, but if it has some elements from Borderlands without being like Fallout or Elder Scrolls, I will be happy.

Mastix So... you're saying that because there is a bigger market on consoles that means controllers are better suited for shooters?

Put a group of console gamers against a group of PC gamers in a shooter and PC gamers would always win. It's not that "we" have personal preference (and for that matter, you have it too, your entire post is about your personal preference in gaming), it's just a fact, you can aim and react a lot faster and better with keyboard and mouse and I tried both ways of playing a fps.

So Bungie saying "No PC versión because controllers are better for shooters and WE made that happen" is the dumbest thing I read this year.

I have to agree with the guest on this one, most people prefer the controller because of the ease-of-access that they provide. You get so much more precise shooting when using a mouse and a keyboard.
