According to some leaked marketing materials acquired by Kotaku, Ubisoft's futuristic hacking and surveillance title Watch Dogs will be a "next-gen experience" coming to "All Home Consoles," available "Holiday 2013." Sorry for all the quotations, but I wanted to make it clear that these words are from the advertising material and not any speculation on my part. How do we know it's real? Because the last quote I have for you is "Pre-order now for exclusive content."
All joking aside, these fliers fall in line with what we've been thinking about Watch Dogs for some time now. With a tentatively announced release date of Q4 2013, right around when next-gen consoles are rumored to be put out, it fits that the most visually stunning reveal of 2012's E3 would be next-gen. We can probably assume it's also coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 if we take wording literally, too.
Whatever platform, whatever release date, Watch Dogs looks like a must have title. Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, the team behind Far Cry and Assassin's Creed, you know Watch Dogs will deliver a triple-A experience. Also, I just want to hack the planet, because that's what a young Jonny Lee Miller and Angelina Jolie would want me to do.
