Oh man, Nintendo is making this NFC compatible with actual pokemon figurines, Skylanders style. My 10 year old mind would be blown.

Yea, and it sounds like they'll be handling them the right way. 200 yen is $2.08 so thats pretty cheap assuming they keep it around that price.

That's too many Pokemon to play at once. If this is not for the Wii U or Nintendo 3DS, it will likely freeze.
Too bad it doesn't say Wii U in the title or anything.

I momentarily missed the "mind" part and wondered why you had suddenly become a parent.

But seriously, if there was any Nintendo series that was going to use NFC, it was Pokémon. I won't be buying any, but yeah, if I was ten I would be all over this. Maybe.

Now that Nintendo have found a way to print money using this console I think its fair to say they're gonna win that inter of the console war. I just hope they use that extra money for the benefit of us Nintendo lovers.

Yes because they put good use for the money they made with the Wii and DS by making the WiiU.

Looks like this is launching in Europe on August 15th and in North America on August 29th. In the US Gamestop will be selling the NFC figurines in limited quantities. Luckily there is no Jolteon yet, so my wallet remains safe.
