The only thing that bugs me about it being a normal type is how focused on each particular type each evolution is, and versatility is one of the normal type's strong points.

Something that came to mind just now is how Suicune is supposed to be the embodiment of the northern winds so it learns most wind-based attacks, so they could do a similar thing with Ninfia in regards to it being a flying type.

Now that I think about it, what if this eeveelution is evolved by maxing out beauty? Much like Milotic (of which it seems to get some inspiration from).

That said Glaceon looks more majestic and beautiful and still manages to have a typing.

I think the bow is only there to add European (French, Italian) touch to Ninfia, so since its there and bows are usually linked with more feminine (not to be sexist) traits and weaker (for lack of a better word) traits, in my opinion Ninfia seems like a normal type cause normal type is arguably the weakest and, come on silk scarf, fashionable neck wear has been associated with normal types for a long time. Also thinking with some sense a dragon type eevelution makes zero sense, a dog like creature growing wings and becoming reptilian, no. Next it looks nothing like a poison type cause if Game Freak were to make a poison eveelution it would be purple, cause that would make the most sense looking at the general population of poison types. Next I seems to cute looking to be a fighting type. However gender based eevelutions would be feasible, and game freak always makes the cute pink one a girl (Jellicent, Latias), also if it were gender based the male eveelution would have also been in the poster for the short (left side of leak). Flying type I could see it but I really think that a flying eveelution would have wings or have a beak. And I know my opinion is based on Game Freak using there brains when designing pokemon (Vanilluxe, ya your ugly) but seriously unless Light type is real (doubt it) nothing else in my opinion makes sense.

Ok I guess it doesn't have to be reptilian to be a dragon type eveelution but still Ninfia doesn't look like a dragon type. Just look at it.

Hi again.

To the people who have quoted me (on page 1 and 2), I can't give a source for it, since I emphasized that it was my opinion on how it could develop in the following months.

I again stand defending that it will be a flying type, because, c'mon, it does look like a normal type, but aren't like half of the flying types part normal type too? It'll just be a matter of time until we know it, but, since it doesn't fit in any other type, then the mammalian milotic that flies shall be a flying type.

Plus, I also would like to guess that it flies via its enormous ears (I thought of Terriermon for a moment -no, don't kill me, please- because it flies or hovers using its ears) or even with the extension of its ribbon/bow. Who knows if it expands and can be used as wings...

The english name will most likely be Ninfeon. Hence, Lefeon's Japanese name was Lefia.

Has any one thought about this. Light and red makes a pinkish color thus this could explain its color.
Edit: just had to check tha pics again. anyway its things connected to ribbon appear to form a rainbow at the end but since its real color is pink that could those scarfs color. these are 2 hints of light. also on the full view of this magazine umbreon is glarin at her. hmmm.

I completely agree with BlackScythe; Eevee + Audino = Ninfia.

Right now I agree that it looks like it will most likely be a normal type, although I don't know if Game Freak would do that, just because having a normal type Eeveelotion just seems so... anticlimatic.

I think ShinySearcher is right, there is a Nymph called: Nymphele (cloud Nymph), but, my sister compared it to a Heart Scale pallette. I thought it looked like Skyla, so needless to say I also think it might be a Heart-type. But, we could all be wrong, because all the generations that new eeveelutions get released in all have different methods of eeveeolution: Flareon, Jolteon and Vaporeon all used Evolutionary stones, Umbreon and Espeon used Daytime and Nighttime with full happiness as an evolutionary requirement, Leafeon and Glaceon used rocks: Mossy rock and Ice rock. (Glaceon in Gen IV could also evolve on any snow filled route (Route 217 etc.) , I also think it might be a DNA-type, and there has been no "Trade" eeveelutions, that could be an answer, maybe, I am just throwing out random thoughts.......and it does look like Victini. (Fun Fact: Genesect's movie is getting released before Gen VI, (its supposed to be called: ExtremeSpeed Genesect and the reawakening of Mewtwo, I don't know why, but it does come from a reliable resource.) Kyrem uses DNA splicers for forme changes and there is a strand of rainbow DNA in the japanese logo, also Genesect is the last pokemon in the National Dex in Gen V, so Gen VI is probably the "Genetic generation" of Pokemon.) (2nd fun Fact: most items from Gen III like the fame checker are in Pokemon Black 2 and White 2's game data, hinting...........a GEN III REMAKE!!!!!!) Hope you like some of my thoughts.

That's not the case with the first few Eeveelutions. If that was the case, Vapereon would be called Showereon. ;P

And I don't see how people can't like it, I really love it. >:
