Thats really not too bad, since the Wii U deluxe is $350 and the PS4 will most likely have much more storage. Thats assuming that theres actually a decent amount to start with though.

Still waiting to see what kind of games are coming out for it before I plan a purchase.

Storage will be just one of the differences between Wii U and PS4. The PS4 will more than likely launch with a 250Gb HDD minimum so that is one difference. The other more drastic difference is that dev kit leaks already put PS4 at 10-15x more powerful than Wii U and it may cost a mere $50 more if this is accurate.

The 360 is at about $300-400 depending on whether you get a Kinect bundle.
By comparison this doesn't seem that bad at all.
I dare say it seems... good.
But the rumors of locking out used games still keeps my money safe away from Sony's, and Microsoft's, stupid fingers.

I really doubt the PS4 will be that much more powerful, last I heard the rumor was an A8/A10 APU with a 7670/6670. The A8/A10 from what I understand is about on par with a Phenom ii X 4 and the 6670 isn't too impressive either (7670 is a re-branded 6670). Like I've said before I expect no bigger a gap than last gen, the trouble with comparing the consoles though is they often use custom parts.

I hope they would not stop user playing second hand games on PS4. After we get bored of some titles, it is better to sell those and save some money for other titles.

S-I-E - Eh? Why wait? I don't like the idea of switching the HDD halfway through my ownership period. Some stuff disappears, and I'd have to re-download stuff again and all.

I'd rather just get it out of the way. I'm getting a PS4 at launch unless I have a very good reason not to (IE: Horrible DRM like 'always online').
just my two cents mate >.>

in either case i'm going to wait until i had a good opportunity to get used to all the bells and whistles first. extra is nice but upgrades cost money and i got bills to pay. who knows what the next PlayStation uses to store it's stuff on? could be SSD for all we know and those things are very expensive.

Current dev kit leaks has the PS4 with an 1.6Ghz 8-core custom CPU based on AMD's Bulldozer CPU architecture, with a GPU equivalent to a HD 7970. It has 2.2Gb VRAM and 8Gb GDDR5 system ram with a bandwidth of 176Gb/s. That is the current dev kit leak and many sites are at this point saying it's possibly true..

Now these same sites have ripped apart the Wii U and uncovered it uses an AMD HD 4650 which isn't very powerful, while using a 1.2Ghz Tri-Core CPU. The CPU is worse than the Xbox 360 CPU and the GPU in Wii U is 1.5x more powerful than current gen, but the CPU is such a bottleneck they get very few benefits.

If the PS4 dev kit leaks are accurate then the PS4 isn't just a mild upgrade over current gen it's a big upgrade. Again it is just rumours at this point and we will find out for sure in 12 days hopefully, but I don't see Sony going small time on us. They have built a reputation as being the guys that put insane tech for low prices in our homes, I don't see that changing.

A touchpad, really!?
More pointless stuff that we don't need with Playstation. Just like the eyetoy.

It's good they're making it a little more affordable though.
Still not going to buy it straight away. I learnt that when I got my PS2.

A touchpad in the controller will bump the price up a bit, and since this is already cheaper than the PS3, we can assume that PS4's hardware will be relatively weaker than the PS3's, compared to other systems.
I'll probably still get it, though. I really like my PS3, and the NextBox, assuming what we've heard is true, just sounds awful.

Except if its actually Bulldozer (not Piledriver) it won't actually be that powerful either, Bulldozer has been compared to a Phenom ii X 4 black edition. The 8GB of GDDR5 ram seems odd since that would be rather expensive, a 7970 w/ 3GB GDDR5 is still $400 by itself. Not saying it won't be more powerful but I don't think Sony can afford to yet have another PS3 on their hands, so I'm sure they're going to be more modest thins time around. They've been pretty quiet as well remember how boastful they were about the PS3's power?
