The EC wasn't perfect, but it brought me closure, and I was done with Mass Effect. I really don't want to see another Mass Effect game.
EA has enough monetary incentive to make up your mind for you.
"I'm finished with Mass Effect."
"What's that? Sure! More Mass Effect coming your way!"

I have no interest in having any thing to do with EA & Bioware after they destroyed two of my most favorite games mass effect & Dragon age scenes I first started playing games at 5 ( Mario and duck hunt ) the to biggest problems with gaming to day is casual games & gamers that buy any shiny crap that's going and greedy companies like EA capcom and so on p.s the EC was a slap it the face

Well, at least, there's a big twist in the Mass Effect title. I guess bioware is aware gamers, after playing the first 3 gamers, would surely want something new so the linearity was cut off.

I'd still check this game out, sometimes it's best to leave great trilogy's at that, but I still enjoyed Halo 4. Regardless of what it would be called, if they continued and brought another game out, I'd get it.

The Shepard story is over? How could that be there was no formal conclusion to the story, just a cliff hanger and a bunch of stuff that made no sense.

So, it seems that the new title will not be directly related to the trilogy. Hope for a new story but evolved gameplay. The series is moving forward in future to the trilogy. That's great!

Here's what they could do instead: Don' make another Mass Effect game. Let it die with at least a shred of dignity.
So much this.

A game known for it's amazing singleplayer that will wrap you into it's universe is now "that one game with the terrible ending and good multiplayer".

Dignity is a funny word these days. Welp, time to bring Mass Effect U, coming exclusively for the WiiU! and PCS360

If EA doesn't want people like me thinking that of it, maybe they could have not done that.

\I'm positive the internet will not understand this concept as applied to Mass Effect 4 and will kill the idea of the game before its even out.

Nah, EA will do that themselves.

None of the Final Fantasys happen in any order. They just share the same lore: items, monsters, spells, weapons, etc... Each has their own plot, own characters. However, I'm positive the internet will not understand this concept as applied to Mass Effect 4 and will kill the idea of the game before its even out.
Except the first Mass Effect did happen in order, as a trilogy set, about a single protagonist and recurring cast. That sets up a precedence the Final Fantasy games didn't.

Also, I highly doubt the Internet could do much harm to this game. It's EA. You've little to fear in that regard.

I take it he means "in the same game universe, but may not be related plot-wise".
