Saints Row 4 may be out as soon as August, but publisher Deep Silver remains vague
Saints Row design director mentions possible August release
Saints Row fans were probably glad to learn that the series and developer Volition had found a home with Koch Media and Deep Silver. Now we learn that Saints Row 4 might be out sooner than originally anticipated. See, we were thinking this game might get pushed to next year or next-gen, but a tweet from Saints Row (the first game) design director Chris Stockman suggests otherwise.
In response to questions regarding the game's release, Stockman tweeted:
"hey just to let you know word around the campfire is SR4 is shipping on current gen consoles in late August."
So that's something, but then you have to keep in mind that publisher Deep Silver has the last say in all this, and according to them, the timing still needs to be worked out. Deep Silver also noted that no platforms are confirmed at this time.
Volition and ex-publisher THQ had previously been planning to release a Saints Row: The Third expansion, Enter the Dominatrix. The whole thing was canned, however, in favor of starting development on Saints Row 4. An August release date wouldn't be entirely out of the question, either way, especially if Deep Silver and Volition were hoping to beat Grand Theft Auto V to the punch.

well we heard a gun shot, but never saw johnny's body or anything like that, yes i know im pulling at straw's here but im hopeful johnny gat is alive, it would be awesome to see him in SR 4.
and yea a early august release date would give us a good amount of time to pick apart the game until gta 5 releases,a buddy of mine is buying both so im sure i'll be at his pad hogging his ps3
Perhaps reincarnation? I'd love Gatt to be back in the game. Alive.
he faked his death or something didnt he?
somthing else I love is the purple bat. I mean I wish I could shove it in a girl.but it works good as hitting people.
