Free-to-play TERA: Rising now available, combat well worth paying for and extra content as well
If only it had launched free-to-play
It feels like only yesterday when I was playing TERA at launch, wanting to continue playing, but finding my friends had long since left for other games -- cheaper games. Subscriptions are a burden for MMOs these days, with MMO players often only willing to subscribe to a single game at a time. Thus, with many strong MMOs available, TERA quickly found itself with a floundering install base.
Today, however, is TERA's resurrection. TERA: Rising, the free-to-play version of the full game and extra content to boot. Yes, you can right now head over to En Masse's website, download the client, create an account, and start playing TERA completely free. Okay, so there might be some small strings attached pertaining to bank space and auction usage. Seriously though, I've played me some free-to-play games and TERA is as open or more open than any other MMO out there.
To celebrate the event, En Masse is also updating TERA to 2.0, which means tons of new content including the new dungeon Crucible of Flame and a 3v3 PvP arena. More TERA than ever, now available for free. Check out TERA: Rising right now, I recommend it, and you won't regret it.
