Take Two go from strength to strength and I think it lies in their policy of creating great experiences that release when they are ready. Take Two probably lose millions because they sit on a game for 2, 3, 4 even 5 years if that is what it takes to complete it knowing that if the game is good enough it will make back their investment tenfold..

How many other publishers are like that? If EA, Activision or UbiSoft owned GTA, Mafia, BioShock, Red Dead Redemption, LA Noire, Max Payne, Borderlands and more they would have annual releases until the World was sick of them. Take Two on the other hand are happy to let Borderlands for instance, sit on the shelf until fans start wondering if it'll ever come back only to blow them away when it does. One thing for certain is their strategy works as they are the only publisher showing growth right now.. Congratulations to Take Two.

And then they'll make a shit load more profit when GTA V comes out. No wonder why EA are after them. Hope to hell they don't get bought out because they like Valve actually care.

If there is just one issue though is that I wish they actually did a great job on a port to the PC instead of a decent job. GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas for example have issues with modern controllers because I can't assign my controller buttons to be anything like the original XBOX version despite it being a 360 controller and minus the black and white buttons being moved to the shouder, miss out on functionality. GTA IV was a better port but had teething issues and didn't feel optimised enough for the PC... even on high spec machines it suffers from issues due to bad programming.

It doesn't break the game though, just make things that little more awkward but a damn sight better than the franchise driven filfth that EA would chuck out every six months.
