Here comes Sony again, making deals behind the scenes to score exclusive DLC content for multi-platform releases. Today's bonus is a set of VR missions for Platinum Games' Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, inspired by Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions for the PlayStation. The DLC pack includes 30 stylized missions that will push Raiden to his limit, and again... all exclusive to the PlayStation 3.
The 30 VR missions will offer several different gameplay challenges, ranging from "combat training" to "tactical maneuvering, stealth-based approaches and more." Of course, the DLC intention is both a mix of practice and challenge for players who have completed the game's main campaign. What appeals to me is of course the retro feel of the VR missions, which I recall as being as fun and challenging as Metal Gear Solid itself.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on February 19. In addition to the exclusive VR mission DLC, PlayStation 3 preorderers will get an exclusive Cyborg Ninja skin for Raiden. I've got to admit, all this DLC business is a bit ridiculous. I just want to play the game already, can you blame me?
