Pokemon Black and White 2 distribution event for legendary Meloetta begins March 4
Something, something, catch them all!
Early details on the distribution event for the legendary Pokemon Meloetta have been released. Starting March 4, Pokemon Black & White Version 2 owners will be able to visit participating GameStop locations with their Nintendo DS to pick up the Pokemon in its video game debut. Pokemon White & Black owners will also be able to pick up Meloetta, so hopefully everyone that wants one can get one.
Meloetta is a rather unique Pokemon, able to switch between its Normal/Psychic form and Normal/Fighting form mid-battle. In fact, Meloetta will be the first Normal/Fighting Pokemon available at all. Add in the fact that she'll have the highest Speed and base stat total of all Fighting Pokemon, and we might have a contender at hand.
Here's the fine print that all potential Meloetta acquirers should keep in mind. In order to pick Meloetta during the distribution event starting March 4, players need the following:
- A Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo DS system
- A copy of the Pokémon Black 2, Pokémon White 2, Pokémon Black, or Pokémon White game
- The Pokédex within the game
- No more than 11 Wonder Cards in their possession
It's should also be noted that Canadians can also get in on the event at participating EB Games shops starting March 9.
More information on Meloetta, including her move set and how she'll switch between her two forms in the middle of battle, will be detailed later this month. Otherwise, mark March 4 on your schedule and uh, I guess play some more Pokemon while you wait. Meloella certainly looks nicer than that last guy, Genesect, though Keldeo was pretty cute.
