Meant im going to stop playing games altogether, sorry you didnt understand that. Im on this site because of gta 3, I gamed because of gta 3, now that this is delayed I will likely never game seriously again, because of the tortuous wait.

Hahaha. We're in our 12th year since GTA 3, and you're ready to throw in the towel because V's been delayed a bit? IV was also delayed 6 months, how ever did you cope?
In fact, how do you cope with life in general? Day to day tasks? Do you give up on eating because McDonalds said there'd be a 2 minute delay on your chips?

Personaly I'm happy giving them a big

For the time being. THEN forgiving them IF the game is worth the wait. Doesnt mean im crying, just means I'll gladly voice my critisism. All this flacid floppy patience and acceptance is making my balls start to recede anyway.

And I work on large projects myself, so i probably understand the inevitability of the delay more than some. But my company dont get things wrong by 6 months. We'd be out of business. And our potential customers certainly wouldnt do this:

People can have a negative opinion AND not take it too seriously and have a bit of a laugh. Thats my take on it.

R* are Knob ends, but then so is my best mate. And dog. And other best mate. And me. Doesnt mean i hate em, doesnt mean they cant produce the goods.

No, because I don't get "chips" at mcdonalds, I get fries.

GTA 4 being delayed was enough thats why im fed up. Its been 5 and a half years since 4, does that answer your question, smart ass?

how the hell is that even comparable? Waiting for fast food for two minutes vs a videogame not coming out for several YEARS....

Guys, guys, guys, you're killing me.

Scarchelli, I understand your frustration, but to stop gaming all together because of this? Maybe it would be better to do what I did. I was so overwhelmed with curiosity about whether I will even like GTA V (after GTA IV) that I decided to boot up GTA III. I started a new save and did a 0% to 100% campaign. Then I did the same with VC and then San Andreas.

Since you love GTA III so much, and I honestly can't blame you for that, why fight it? Just go have yourself a blast in...you know, THE REAL Liberty City?

5 and a half years that included two hefty expansion packs, and they've been making the biggest and best GTA by a wide margin. Just let them make it!
If it's not done yet it's not done yet. Releasing the game incomplete would be a much worse scenario, so just wait and it'll come.

I completely agree with Ville Valo. I'd much rather have a complete game that's gone under delays than play a game that comes out on schedule and is riddled with bugs. Bethsda's games could be literally perfect (particularly Skyrim) if they had taken a little more time and made sure they ran much better.

The thought of getting my hands on GTA V and it keeps lagging or freezing is just heartbreaking. Although I will criticise R* in that they shouldn't be putting out release dates until they're sure they can get the game out by then. If you hold back on putting out a release date it creates anticipation. If you delay the release date all it does is create frustration.

I don't think so. The troubles they had with Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3 and Fallout NV...and the time it took them to get the DLCs working (finally coming to PS3 this month!) suggests that they have really deep issues in the engine they're using for those games. If they could've fixed it while making Skyrim I'm sure they would've, I think it would involve some sort of re-write

Interesting news today that Saint's Row 4 may be coming in August. That would make three full SR titles since the last full installment of Grand Theft Auto.

For the curious. I haven't played SR3, and I don't really have much of a desire to play SR4, but it is a little bit ridiculous we haven't seen a GTA in that long. I share Scarchelli's frustration.

All you folks saying:

"I'd rather a complete game"

Yes so would we all. Everyone here wants to spend their £50 on a complete game. No-one is advocating releasing the game in an incomplete state and we all know that.

Its just i'd have prefered a complete game in March/May. And dont feel to guilty having expected that after "HOWEVER MANY" years and an official statement telling me that. I didnt say spring, they did.

R* blow their own trumpet, arse everyone about, release info too early, are cryptic about the details, dont release the box art and delay the game ten seconds after finally giving us a release time... then everyone thanks them and bend over... And there last game wasnt even all that good IMO.

That is simply an astonishing level of credability.

I'm done the Saints Row. Steelport was possible the worst map I've ever explored. It was so plain and boring with nothing distinctive about it. No imagination what so ever. They also don't need to worry about writing a storyline, it's, 'Saints take over the city.' The activities in SR3 were mostly the same as in SR2 but nowhere near as fun. Could they have *bleep*ed up Trial Blazing anymore? The only good addition to SR3 was the Prof Genki missions. It's extremely clear that all they gave a shit about was making he game as comical as possible, which was an awful decision. The comical effect wears off within an hour or two of playing, after which your left along with SR2's retarded brother. You should make sure you have a great game first, then add in the comical touches and it will come accross much better.

Who cares if they've put out more games than GTA. I can really see Saints Row turning into CoD where they keep churning out the same shit over and again.

I wasn't aware of that. I thought we were looking at a November release. So, great news if its true! As far as I am concerned, until Rockstar proves otherwise, to me, Saint's Row is the new GTA.

As long as SR4 isn't as insane as Third (although I did like that game) then I'll buy it. Awesome month that could be.
