On the back of Monday's BioShock Infinite trailer that reminded us we don't really know anything about Columbia, today's "City in the Sky" trailer brings us back to the reality at hand -- that, simply put, there's a great game here waiting to be played. City in the Sky doesn't hold any punches, jumping straight into gameplay and flashing highlights of everything we've been shown since BioShock Infinite was announced. And oh, it's so, so good.
It's like a year of media shorted to a minute and a half trailer. This is Booker's introduction to Columbia and its secrets, his first meeting with Elizabeth and her strange powers, the handyman, the Songbird, and the stabbing reminder that maybe even Booker isn't all he appears to be. After watching this trailer, it's not unreasonable to wish it would go on for hours, at which point you might recall, "Oh yeah, this is game that will come out soon."
BioShock Infinite is scheduled for a March 26 release date on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. If this week we get two trailers like "Columbia: A Modern Day Icarus?" and "City in the Sky" I can't wait to see what Irrational has in store next week. Is that BioShock Infinite book out yet? Two more weeks for that, too? Ah, damn.
