Valentine's Day is no stranger to video game releases, and Rebellion, makers of Sniper Elite, have something in mind for that day. Just the studio isn't quite revealing what it has up its sleeves, though we do know it has something to do with Sniper Elite V2. A teaser image and video have both surfaced, and while the video is a little ambiguous, the image is more promising.
The familiar Sniper Elite logo is seen, except it's been dyed a shade of red and a pentagram is in the middle. Now, the Nazis, the main adversaries of both Sniper Elite games, were speculated to have dabbled with the occult, so this pentagram-perverted logo could be an allusion to that. Demons are a possibility; some summoned horde the Nazis were hoping to unleash but couldn't control. Or it could be something different entirely, although Rebellion isn't speaking.
So, demons, vampires, aliens, occult mysteries, or some other enemy? The speculation is rampant, but what we do know for sure is this new Sniper Elite game is a standalone product set to arrive on February 14. Rebellion just likes to tease us all with a new gift, it seems.
