Now that Injustice: Gods Among Us is nearing its April release, we're seeing way more about the game in terms of backstory. Sure, Injustice is a fighting game, and stories tend to take a backseat here, but when our favorite DC heroes and villains are fighting each other, we'd like some sort of explanation as to why.
In the new story trailer, which follows up a more teaser-esque one, NetherRealm shows us a number of villains and heroes at odds, where the two sides begin to mingle and form unexpected alliances.
As far as I can tell, Luthor and Joker are working against each other (that's not too much of a stretch), but the former is actually allied with heroes too. Similarly, we see Bats directing Harley to do something or another, and Nightwing standing with Bane, quite possibly. Green Lantern doesn't look like he's too happy to see Batman, either. What is happening, here?
