Youtube is your friend for the infinites and glitches, and Sackboy not being fun, translates to he takes much longer to fill his bars than before. I played Sackboy offensively, and his miniscule AP gain is stupid now, spammers online have stopped showing up, but now Sackboy is a novelty.
Nah why don't you tell me some of these infinities that are still in the game.
Hmm I don't know, the online itself is a lot better with the Sackboy nerf at least now you don't see atleast 2 Sackboys in every match and all the sackboys reaching their level 3 twice withing one game. I think it's more fun now since the other characters stand a chance of winning online. You're acting as if he can't even reach his level 3 within a rank match anymore.
Sure superbot could have handled it differently by changing his level 3 so you wouldn't respawn in the bubble and nerfing the attacks instead of just increasing the AP required.

I think PSASBR could do with a lot more modes. I hate to compare it to SSB, but SSB totally annihilates All-Stars when it comes to the different mods on offer. The story mode is a lot better to, being able to run around and so on. Hopefully someday All-Stars can match the quantity of content of All-Stars, while also keeping a good quality.

And my issue with the game is 1v1 is mostly unbalanced; heck, the game is unbalanced as a whole.

They nerfed poor Sackboy(who was actually getting out of hand mind you) to not fun anymore status, and Kratos, Drake, and Raiden are still sitting at the top of the Tier list(and major spamfests online, and also infinite combos and glitched attacks), while characters like Jak and Big Daddy are way down at the bottom.
Could you show me a game where every character is balanced? : confused:
Also they didn't change any of Sackboy's moves they just raised his the AP required the get to level 2 and 3 and lowered the ap gain of the cake and jelly ball. Not fun anymore? lol so you're telling me it was fun when he would get 15 kills in a single match and there was no way to get out of his level 3?
Oh and could you also list some infinite combos and glitched attacks that the game has.

Didn't like the supers only KOs either, its not hard to understand but doesn't encourage much in the way of strategy.
How doesn't it require strategy? If all you do is just use your supers as soon as you get them you're not going to win.

I was only talking about the AP>super>KO mechanic, it's supers beat SSBB's final smash in the strategy department but the supers only KO mechanic doesn't really add much. The game has all the standard fighting game strategies but it just seems to have been put in just for the sake of being different.

I actually thought the game was very fun. I don't really understand all this hate for it. It's like people just cursed the game as soon as they found out Crash and Spyro weren't in it. That doesn't mean the other 20 characters aren't fun.

Personally, I think the Super combat system is much more engaging than SSB's button mash system. Obviously I did wish for more characters, but a lot of previously PS exclusive characters are now third party and harder for Sony to acquire rights to.

I feel bad for all those that lost their jobs and hope the company has a good future. I know it's extremely unlikely, but I also hope PSAS gets a sequel with more characters (at LEAST thirty, maybe thirty five this time).

I also like how the company has promised to release all DLC for free. It's nice to know that they're dedicated to more than just making a profit.
They never promised ALL dlc for free. Just Kat and Emmett. The new stage, for example, is not included with those two anymore, and is paid DLC now.

It's safe to assume all future DLC will be Paid as well, as Kat and Emmett are only free for two weeks.

To be fair though,Sony All Stars was a complete miss. Too low a budget (couldn't even hire a decent UI artist), not enough actual Sony characters with real history behind them (what are New Dante, Raiden and Big Daddy doing there?), totally awful combat mechanic revolving around supers, not enough advertisement.

The fault is almost entirely on Sony, not Superbot (however the combat system is entirely on Superbot) for many of these flaws. If your gonna be a smash clone go all out and don't half ass it, wasted opportunity imo and I was actually looking forward to it.

That said I hope everyone in the company fairs better wherever they end up.
The game's old title was "Playstation Advertising All-Stars Battle Royalties".

Heehee.

Doesn't matter what you call it, a layoff is a layoff. No way you try to spin it will make your employees fell better.

From what I played of the beta everything felt stiff and movesets were over complicated, might be better now but the fluid motion and simplicity is what I like about smash bros. Didn't like the supers only KOs either, its not hard to understand but doesn't encourage much in the way of strategy.

The lack of Sony character is understandable since Sony didn't focus on first party games as much before, a good chunk of what they had were third party. They were still better off with characters from more niche series like Dark Cloud or even Wild Arms if they couldn't rope in Spyro and Crash though.

Game is fun but IM not surprised about the cuts. The sales were pretty bad, people disliked the roster because there was no crash or sotto but you can't blame thinking since they're third party which people seen to forget. Oh and not to mention the game got a lot of hate for trying to copy ssbb
