Resident Evil 6 will finally be hitting PC for all the patient Capcom fans who prefer to avoid consoles, and as a little something-something, the publisher is throwing an exclusive multiplayer mode. "No Mercy" is based on the classic Mercenaries mode, but "ramps up the gameplay to 11." That'd be Capcom's wording, not mine.
No Mercy promises is more challenges than ever, higher scores (Bigger is better!), and... Yeah, actually, it's pretty much like The Mercenaries. You'll find screenshots of the PC-exclusive mode below.
In addition to the No Mercy images, you'll also find a ton of campaign screenshots for the PC version; one for each sub-campaign, in fact. Amusingly, most of them are too dark to really get what's going on, but that's what makes them scary, right?
Starting March 22 (that's a Friday), Resident Evil 6 PC will be available for download in North America. Europeans can pick up the digital or retail edition on the same day. If you're looking to grab the digital version, it's priced at a fair $40 USD or €30/£20. Features added to the console versions post-launch will be applied automatically, including immediate access to Ada Wong's campaign (rather than having to finish the other three first), adjustable in-game camera, and so on.
If you're not sure whether your rig can handle the game, Capcom will be releasing a free benchmark test in February.
