Well, technically the Trojans didn't know it was full of lies. IIRC, an oracle was going to warn them, but he got eaten by a giant fish. My memory is screwy :/

Well that was fun, a really nice change of pace from all the serious articles and controversy.

Lorx Gotta agree with you on how micro-transactions are usually handled, its usually handled badly and that just creates negative connotations and turns people off. It doesn't help that EA stuck the system in a series that never had it and is new to console games (in-game anyway), which is what stirred things up.

Not used to troll articles, is all. Been a while since I've visited Kotaku.
You have the same alias as a former Starcraft progamer who was caught match fixing and banned for life. Off-topic but I just wanted to throw that out there.

what is this a parody of?

as genuine criticism it's half-assed and as satire it's unfunny...

A parody of Kotaku's editorial squad obviously.

Hes making fun of some of the recent news, like SimCity being online only and Dead Space 3 having micro-transactions (the F2P kind, not dlc). Obviously if you have to explain the joke to someone its no longer funny though.

What Wakaman said works too.

Why has path of exile not been mentioned at all??? Open beta started on the 23rd and it's probably the greatest arpg of all time. It has a sphere grid / ff7 like materia system. It is more diablo thehn d3.

I dont understand the dead space 3 one. Are you saying that you can buy things with money or MS Points that you can already get in the game through hard work to get it more earlier on in the game? EA owned companies always do that. They did on Burnout Paradise, Battlefield 3 and other games i don't remember.

I enjoyed reading this article more than I did every IGN news article to date, combined! On the topic of the Dead Space 3 debacle. I think it's pointless that they put purchasable weapons in the game. I honestly don't think you should have to buy weapons with your hard earned real life money, unless (and only if) the game is an MMO, free to play, and/or one time subscription. Purchasable weapons in Dead Space 3 seems pointless to me.
