The greatest mafia, gangster and mob films focus on the arc of climbing from humble beginnings through a hierarchy of power. Perhaps that's why Omerta - City of Gangsters sounds so appealing. A simulation game with tactical turn-based combat where the players starts as a fresh-faced immigrant and slowly builds their own organized crime network. Maybe that sounds a bit overwhelming. Luckily, Kalypso has just released a single-player demo for everyone to try the game.
Two levels will be playable in the demo, available for download right now, giving players a small taste of city-conquering and the complex combat system. I'd say it's probably worth trying out based off of premise alone. While I'm not a particular fan of turn-based, tactical combat, I am a huge fan of city-building. Can't wait to see what sort of options Omerta offers in that regard.
Omerta - City of Gangers is a PC exclusive title from Kalypso Media, launching on February 12. We've been following the game's development for a while, so make sure and check out some of the trailers and other media we've published over the past months. Download the Omerta demo here: WorthPlaying.
