Expected/10. The moment this was announced as a disc release worried me enough. Capcom is damn lucky this game is good.

Despite the fact it's getting a digital release, apparently the original Dragon's Dogma will still be included in that package as well. More than a little shady, and I'm not inclined to believe Capcom's excuses for the necessity of this.

They've gotten better recently on the whole DLC front, but they're still not quite there yet on what they're doing wrong. None the less, I've still pre-ordered Dark Arisen for £18, Dragon's Dogma was too much fun for me to ignore the DLC. It's a franchise I want to support, even if Capcom are behind it, no other RPG plays the same way. I'm in need of a sequel, but the expansion will do for now. =P

Apparently there are benefits included for people that already own Dragon's Dogma, such as 100,000 rift crystals (Which apparently have more uses in the Dark Arisen re-release of the game), infinite ferrystones and a 'Gransys Armour Pack'.

For people wondering why Dark Arisen is getting the disc release and being retailed as a full game as opposed to an expansion, this article explains it: http://www.siliconera.com/2013/01/23/why-dragons-dogma-dark-arisen-is-a-40-retail-game/

I hope they at least finally add the ability to switch your pawn to the restricted job classes. You can currently hack the save files to do this but the AI is incomplete and they won't use job specific special abilities in combat.
