It was at this moment that I remembered Dead Space 3 was being published by EA.

So they added some grind to try and squeeze out some more money out of people who just bought the game? :S

Why would anyone buy this? You're literally paying them to skip gameplay.

Haha, oh dear lord. This is classic EA. As if I'd pay for something I can get if I play the game properly.

hmm at least the weapon/suit dlc's for Dead Space 1 & 2 was unique stuff or am I remembering wrong? Kinda pricey as I remember too not that I exactly mind spending a few bucks extra on games I like but I'm a bit sensitive as to what they are actually selling and EA is giving more and more of that bad feeling... No real value for money, no genuine quality, no love of gaming... just... greed....

Just sarted playing dead space 3 and the game is great.

However these microstransactions are all vastly overpriced and i feel like i have been ripped off. The shere number and price of them is a joke. 500MS points on ONE weapon set?

The sad thing is if EA had offered a pack giving a player every weapon for a reasonable price i may have considered it, but splitting them up among multiple DLC's and charging that much is shocking.

I wont be buying any of them. Im not even sure what you get. Can i unlock all of those weapons anyway? Or are they specialist parts or what?

If you buy a weapon pack you get access to the stuff rather early in the game (first usable bench) and they come with all circuit slots already unlocked. The weapon parts of the stuff do seem to have some unique stats but the game have very similar stuff already, you just need to find materials to make them but it tend to be much later in the game before you can afford that unless you (ab)use chapter select/checkpoints and grind spots with lots of materials early.

The dlc's also seem to be fully usable from first bench in "classic" mode which kind of totally breaks that mode

Basically it's all just severely overpriced stuff to make the game easier and nothing of it is really needed for anything.

Note. I haven't really bought anything extra myself but I got 2 weapons and some suits with the Limited Ed and having saves from ME3/ DS2 so my observations are solely based on those.
