When Bethesda and Zenimax do a cinematic trailer they do it right. To mark the beginning of registrations for the upcoming The Elder Scrolls Online beta an all new five minute cinematic trailer has been released, titled "Alliances". I'd recommend registering for the beta first, because after the trailer is over it'll be difficult not to start it all over again.
Through the trailer we're given an introduction to each of the MMO's three main factions: Aldmeri Dominion, Daggerfall Covenant, and Ebonheart Pact. More than that though we're introduced to just how talented animators have become these days. Seriously, every single inch of this trailer looks gorgeous and it's impossible not to be swept away by each character's simple movements. This trailer will be watched at least a dozen more times, today.
That isn't to say Elder Scrolls faithful will be entirely please with what they see. I'm sure there are any number of small details that don't match with lore or meet the mob's growing discontent with everything The Elder Scrolls Online. Deep breath, folks. It is what it is and I think for a trailer there's little to criticize. We can talk about actual gameplay further down the line.
The Elder Scrolls Online is scheduled for a 2013 release exclusively on PC, for now. Beta registrations have only just begun, but as soon as news breaks on when the beta will begin the news will go up quick as day. Grab a bag of chips and enjoy another outstanding video game trailer. Here's The Elder Scrolls Online's "Alliances". Damn, that Nord is a badass.
