Despite all the PlayStation 4 rumors flying around, Sony is apparently waiting for Microsoft to make the first move in this next-gen race.
Today, CEO Kaz Hirai told UK publication The Times what the disadvantage of going first would be. He said, "Why go first, when your competitors can look at your specifications and come up with something better?"
The statement certainly carries weight, but we've also been hearing way more about the Orbis than Microsoft's Durango, as a whole. And let's not forget the ongoing gag about Sony being terrible at keeping major announcements under wraps.
Late last week, rumors suggested Sony might be abandoning DualShock for PlayStation 4 controllers in favor of a design inspired by PlayStation Vita. Just earlier today, the Xbox 720 specs were supposedly leaked. Yep, 2013 is off to an interesting start.
