Is nothing sacred anymore?

Sounds stupid, the controller is fine(for the most part). Stop tryna copy Nintendo damn you. This rumor needs to be taken out back and shot, multiple times.

What they could do is just keep the controller as is and add a flip out LCD screen to the back of it. So it flips up and lands slightly above the controller. The Playstation controller is one of the best controllers ever. No need to change it Mr. Sony!

PSVita as a controller? Didn't even wait like with the PS Move. Just jumping right in with what Nintendo has planned for their controller. Good luck with the ensuing patent dispute.

I'd much rather they stick with the dual shock. One reason why is that the thumbpads on the PSP and the PS Vita are vastly inferior to the analogue stick on the controller. The thumb pad on the 3DS ain't brilliant but certainly better to use than Sony's.

Oh God it sounds like they want to make a mini-me Wii U pad.

Let's hope it's actually for the better. The rumors of the 360 controller replacing analog sticks for something more accurate like trackballs for the right stick sounds incredible. These controllers really do need change.

Also I loved the PS3 boomerang. What other console would have you rage throw the controller to your expensive plasma only to have it swing back to you BEFORE you break anything and back into your hands?

I hate the PS3 controller. It feels all cheap and plasticy and the two analog sticks are too close together and after a while they strain my thumbs. The face buttons are very flat and loud and the squeaking in the back triggers is just crazy. Give me a good sturdy Xbox controller any day

Out of all controllers I've used the xbox360 one still works best for me, although I have large hands I'd even prefer a bigger 360 controller. But it just has a good shape to hold in your hands, unlike the old PS1/2 ones. I could deal with the PS1 controller when I was little but I do get cramps now if I have to use one of those.

Aww, I hope its not too big of a change, I like the current design. I like the Xbox controller for shooters but I find the dualshock to be better for everything else, especially games that use button combinations.

That track ball for a right stick sounds nice, the accuracy of a mouse (more or less) with the analog movement of a control stick would be awesome.
