Seriously, who is making Lightning all of these fabulous outfits. Does she have some sort of summonable Moogle seamstress? There's really no other sensible way she's managing all this adventuring and still rocking modern threads. Anyways, you can see what I mean in this latest media from Square Enix including an extended trailer for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and some artwork to boot.
At this point in the... I suppose it's a trilogy now, I'm not entirely sure anyone knows what's going on. The original Final Fantasy XIII was a standalone experience, but Final Fantasy XIII-2 had all sorts of DLC which I believe included the true ending for the game. Or maybe their wasn't an ending at all and it was just one huge teaser for Lightning Returns. I'm used to being confused by JRPGs, but this is a new level of confusion.
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will launch on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in the fall, later this year. Don't let the "13 Days Left" quote at the beginning of the trailer make you think otherwise, as I believe that's just referring to a construct in the game. There's all sorts of time travel shenanigans going on. Just remember, it's all a metaphor anyways. A metaphor that can only be properly conveyed with lots and lots of fanservice.
