As we all know, Microsoft can't seem to get through a holiday season without the Xbox LIVE service going wrong in some manner or another. In 2012, it was the Cloud Saved Games service, which went down and denied many users access to their data. Well, Microsoft did promise to make it up to you all with some free LIVE Gold, and they are. The one month of free GOLD is now being credited to affected parties.
Keep in mind that, yes, you do need to be someone who was actually affected by the Cloud service to get that free month. What does this mean? Well, you need to have tried to use the Cloud service between December 28 and December 30, 2012. Microsoft apparently knows who you are, and they're tracking all of you down, but be patient, because they don't expect to reach every affected account until January's end.
Once their work is done, everyone who was affected should receive a LIVE message.
Thanks for the heads up, LOD-squa.
