Another great Wii RPG being localized for North America, XSEED bringing Pandora's Tower in spring
The Wii isn't dead yet! The Wii isn't dead yet!
All glory to XSEED games, giving the Wii one last hoorah. Around 2011, Japan saw a grand wave of new action-RPGs that reminded us that the genre was still important -- that people the world over still wanted those sorts of games. Last year we managed to get Last Story and Xenoblade Chronicles and it looks like the last one folk were clamoring for is now in its way. XSEED games will be localizing Pandora's Tower for a spring release. Operation Rainfall is complete!
Shinichi Suzuki, president and CEO of XSEED Games, provided the following statement in the announcement's press release:
"It’s fantastic to be bringing such a highly-anticipated title like Pandora’s Tower to such a vocal fan base. North American gamers have been very patient in waiting for this game to be released, and we’re confident they will be pleased when they get their hands on the title."
While Pandora's Tower wasn't as well-received as Xenoblade Chronicles or Last Story in Japan, it's doubtful many JRPG gamers with Wiis will complain. After all, there are almost no planned releases for the Wii in 2013, and nothing even approaching a significant title -- at least until now. Here's a toast to one last great reason to dust off the Nintendo Wii and play a great new game.
Pandora's Tower is an action-RPG originally developed by Genbarion, makers of some of the One Piece fighting games. Players travel between thirteen towers attempting to break a curse that is turning one of the protagonists into a beast. Look forward to its release in spring. Props to XSEED for making it happen.

Good job XSEED. You've earned it.
This year is getting better and better for gamers (just not our wallets).
