Borderlands 2's Sir Hammerlock DLC releases today, meet nefarious villain Dr. Nakayama
Loot, loot and more loot
Borderlands 2's third campaign DLC pack, Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt releases today, in case everyone had forgotten. The pack will introduce everything fans have come to expect from these DLC packs, as in a solid new storyline, a few new areas to explore, and a raid boss to farm for epic loot. Gearbox also sent out a launch trailer for the game, which introduces the DLC's new villain: Dr. Nakayama.
I can't help but feel a bit DLC weary in regards to Borderlands 2. It's not that the DLC has necessarily been dwindling in quality, not at all in fact, but at the same time it hasn't been ramping up in quality either. What I guess I'm saying is that I can't find that drive to return like I did when say Scarlett was released, and Big Game Hunt just hasn't set its hooks in me.
Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt will still be delivering more great Borderlands 2 content for those who just can't wait for more, however. Plenty of extra loot awaits those who live for sexy gear, and that same hilarious humor will be pervasive throughout the game. Those checking out Big Game Hunt today for Borderlands 2 make sure to report back and tell us how it compares.

I was lucky I got the season pass when it was mispriced on steam otherwise I would be very pissed off.
Feel sorry for the people who payed full price for it.
Well, I'd suggest a good weapon with elemental damage over time that doesn't match their element. Naturally the Hellfire would be good, but I think the Submalevolent line of Maliwan SMGs are generally like wannabe hellfire/bad touch/good touch/etc. I would say SMGs are the best bet other than perhaps snipers. SMGs tend to combine good fire rate, decent elemental proc rate, and good accuracy. ARs are not really good because they tend to have low proc rates. Snipers tend to be 30% or higher, but have slow fire rate.
But yeah, I'll say again that against the witch doctors, if you don't have a bee, the best bet is to rely on a weapon that has high elemental damage and proc rate. Just make sure it doesn't match their element of course.
I bought the season pass expecting a bit more from it. But I guess they've been a bit lazy with the content because they were coasting on the success of the first game's DLC.
For that matter, has any of the season DLC been developed in-house?
Short dlc? Yeah... if Capt Scarlet dlc is a 10, I would give Torgue dlc an 8 and this dlc a 3.
I may be a bit generous tho
Not to mention the 5 or 6 glitches that hit me in the short time it took to beat the main story in the DLC.
but damn this DLC is just...while not terrible it's just not really offering anything to the table. BL2 is an AMAZING game but it has it's flaws, and so far the DLC isn't fixing any problems, expanding on any of the good stuff, giving any fantastic loot that you can go in again and again, or offering any fun boss battles. It's just a really expensive and large side mission with less than exotic locales.
Good thing I didn't bite on the season pass. Here's hoping DLC4 is a biggy, I'll start using bing again just so I can net me some free MSP (the only reason I got torque was because of bing, I got the DLC for $5).
