I agree with the majority of your points, but the main ones I like are 2, 5, and 7. BW had the best story of the main Pokemon games, and i'd love to see them try to top it. As for the fifth point, I'm also growing tired of the truckload of legendaries we've been getting. I want the number reduced back to five again. HMs do need to go. Create a new way to get around or make them ley items, I dunno.

One more thing, I hope they keep the TM system the currently have.

I hate the idea of downloadable content... Nintendo, like all other corporations, has proven to be capable to falling to the corruption of money, as apposed to making the fans happy. What means is, we'd have to pay money for stuff. And then when we get to the next region (next generation), we'd most likely have to pay for some of this stuff again. And again. And again. And again. Don't believe me? Go look at Call Of Duty. This exact same formula happens because of DLC, which causes a truck load of money to be lost with each new game if you were to buy all the downloadable content, which a bunch of it is just slightly updated versions of old DLC that you had to buy.

Funny... Co-operative play was suggested in the Pokemon General forum and was shot down faster than I could say Co-operative play.

Also I think an idea for shaking things up would be to have the games take place in the same world, at the same time, but from different viewpoints, instead of being counterparts to each other, like all the past games have been.

1) Not really. They shook it up once because they had to to get the game made. Otherwise we would've gotten a re-release of BW1 with all the same content as BW2, but in one version and just a re-release of BW1 and not a "new plot".
2) No thank you. Keep it simple.
3) Don't care really. It'd be nice, but on the other hand I like having a defined player avatar.
4) I guess, although I don't care. Just nothing more than maybe a PBR type game.
5) Hell no, they've taken over the games enough already. I don't care if you want less, just don't make them any more important than they are.
6) Actually, there should be no 3D effects, so less processor power is used and the game can look nicer, have more shit on screen at once, and run smoother. Because the 3D is a useless gimmick and what's holding the 3DS back.
7) Please. One idea I saw that I think would be the best is once you get the HM, not only does it work like a regular TM, but every Pokemon that can learn the move can use it on the field without actually learning it.
8) Hell no. Because knowing Nintendo it'll all be timed, plus, should the eShop ever go down with no way to re-download the files, that content is gone forever. Release a finished game, not a half finished one with the rest sold for even more dosh that when you buy it you don't even own.
9) No. Fetch quests are terrible and I want no part in them. More sidequests would be appreciated, though.
10) I can't see it working. I don't even have too much of a problem with the idea, but I just don't see it working. Entralink will probably be the closest you'll get.

I agree with most of these, but I don't think they should add all of these just yet. This is Nintendo's first game on the 3DS, and the first game that uses 3D sprites/models/whatevertheyare, instead of sprites. Some of these, though, I can't say I agree with. Not in X and Y, though.

I love 2 and 7. The story for Black and White is def my favorite out of all the games. Like you said, you felt like you accomplished something at the end. More side quests would be cool, to go with it too. Although they should be completely optional and at the end of them all, a neat new legendary could await you. There are WAY too many legendaries right now.

The thing about Legendaries is that even if you go back to the 5/6 Legendaries, it'll still be not special, because of the use of GTS. Anyone can catch Legendaries and put it up on GTS, and more importantly, anyone can gain that Legendary by trading over a Pokémon. Goes for any rare Pokémon as well. You can simply trade over a Pokémon for a Feebas.

Anyway, I agree with HMs and stuff, and I like the idea of side quests. :3

I feel like I'm the only person in the world who doesn't mind a ton of legendaries. I mean, Legendary A is going to be just as strong no matter if there's 2 or 10 legendaries. And it's not like NPC's are walking around with them. And going off and catching all of them is something fun for after the E4.

But for the rest of the points, I agree. Though I don't mind keeping HM's around, but now that TM's can be used multiple times, then there's really no reason to just downgrade HM's to TM's.

I agree with the abolishing HMs, maybe since TMs can be reused they could all become TMs now?
Or maybe just make all the HMs become TMs and keep a few that you wouldn't mind having, like Surf or Fly.

Edit: Also, I am hopeing, HOPEING that there are no Pokemon generating programs this generation.

These are all very good points with a lot of substance to back them up. I'm just incredibly skeptical about throwing DLC into the Pokemon games. It just doesn't seem..right, you know? I'm not even too sure how it would work (more customization packages, perhaps?) Either way, I don't support it. Keep the finishing product solid and avoid paying extra for a few minor additions is all I could really ask for.

Some interesting points raised here. GF definitely have to continue 'shake things up' though to maintain the standard they've set already, and I think taking the step towards 3D is the first big step.

HMs, I think, are fine as they are though, they don't really need to change or anything.

Agreed with point 2 though, Gen V was one of my favourites for the story it provided as well. It'll be difficult to make it better I think, but hopefully we're still given a quality storyline.

I believe I was one of the people - if not the person you're talking about - who advocates for this. I think it would make the whole Pokemon experience and community a lot closer, as well as creating pressure on potential Pokemon players to play with their friends. Economically, socially, and entertainingly - is that a word? - it should be an option Game Freak considers. Why can't it work?

I like points 7 and 9. Side missions available throughout the game would make the journey to the E4 a lot more fun, and HMs are more annoying than anything. Using Key Items to do the job HMs do would be just as effective but without having to carry around annoying HM taking up a space for a Pokemon you could be using in battle.

Oh yesh I must agree on the side missions as well. I think I may have brought it up in another thread but the one with ringing Celestial Tower's bell for someone an all that was pretty interesting, and yeah it didn't last long which was a shame. But yeah even if they did release them as DLC that would be alright.
