RabidChinaGirl i respect your opinion is just that this metamorphosis of well the spyro games hit a bit too close to my heart, i only had four N64 games to play, once i was given a PSX i suddendly got more games at hand to play and among my first PSX games was spyro 2, i spent more than 900 hours before that first memory card died, i always liked the adventure-plataformer feel it had.

And For however thumbed down my comment i think that spyro was better in insomniac games than in activision, all i need is to mention Dawn of the Dragon to want ti scream, for some reason activision tought it would be kewl to not implement a CC scheme on eternal night or DOD, given that button wise it's similar to the PS3 (it has four buttons, one cross pad, four shoulder buttons and two sticks) it was a terrible move, the DS version was even more lackluster giving the first obss an insta kill move, which lessened the fun a lot, some of this was never present on the original triology.

I remember a few cool activision titles, back in 1999 or 2000

go and play spyro 1 to 3
I have; it's why I was initially skeptical of the figurine-based games. Just saying that after playing Giants, I found them rather enjoyable.

Duncan Idaho Played Skylanders Giants, and it's actually really cute/entertaining. I like the concept behind it, though you won't find me running out and buying up all the Legendary figures any time soon. I'll leave that to the REAL fans...

Probably not what a lot of people imagined for the series, but I'd hardly call it shovelware.
go and play spyro 1 to 3, then go and play the newer spyro games, after the one where elijah wood shows up all became too kid oriented, what could been an entretaining all ages experience got kiddified for the sake of cash, give spyro back to insomniac and let em make spyro as awesome it was once in the past.

I call them shovelware due that they have abandoned all it has to do with spyro, originally it was an epic of cruising trough worlds for fun and accomplishing objectives, then it became RPG oriented which isnt bad until eternal night came in, sparx VA went off which made it less fun then the mechanics went from simple to overtly complexm DOD was bleh, crappy controls all around.

then it comes the third reboot on the franchise which makes the things even more infantile and kid like, which just kills the spirit i grew up with

I meant the mainstream games.
Doesn't matter, same rules apply. If Nintendo is going to charge 26 dollars total for something that costs 15 on their 3DS system, which is also them dipping their toes into the pool that is the itunes store, it means if they release more games for ios from Nintendo franchises, then they'll be just as bad as Square Enix and how they price their games(nearly 20 dollars for FFIV)

Until Pokemon goes to iOS and Android and makes you pay $2 for a Pokeball
Thankfully Nintendo isn't going to bring mainstream games to iOS. If that were to happen... *shivers*

I'm glad I sold all my Skylanders. That obsession was getting out of control @_@
Pokemon IS on ios.

Pokedex 3D Pro is on ios, and costs 2 dollars for the Unova basic Pokedex, and about 5 dollars for each other region.

Skylanders figures are also toys, which children love to play with, in addition to using them on the portal, and in turn, in the game.

I think I'd rather just play Pokemon, don't have to spend real money to catch more.
