Its available in america, europe, korea and japan under seperate publishers, aka idk but doubt they link together, however I do recall having australians around on US servers, so I'd imagine you can get the game from your nearest publisher.
That's my "not fully proven but still a lil bit" guess anyway

*insert Slowpoke pic* I see what you did there, thx bluexy. The gameplay looked boring to me but I didn't know it was gimping players as well, sounds even worst then I already thought (but then again Star Wars is kind of overrated anyway).

Seems like my schedule will meet up with TERA Rising's launch, might as well get to use my founder status.

I'm curious, how is Tera mocking Star Wars though, is SWOTR that crazy restrictive? or is TERA's gateless looking model just that special?

If anything I played TERA from closed beta till november last year, where I had grown a lil tired of MMOs in general especially with the schedule i had then. I'd say though while this is definitely no Monster Hunter (reference I was given when I was introduced to it), TERA is the most "active" MMO I've played, that might not be much but was definitely better then WoW and Cabal (all i saw about SWOTR looked boring, same for Aion and FF14 looked awkward).

I see, I only remembered Guilpho saying he'd play it if he had money, could be cool to have you guys tag along though.
it's be cool, but i need to gather some 900$ for the PC, given that the parts i am going to use arent exactly expensive but they add up to somewhere between 750-900$.

TERA is a mixed thing for me. After checking out a confirmation article from Gamearena that this game is going free to play next month, I was piqued again.
I'm not big on Korean MMOs but TERA sets itself apart from other similar games with its combat. I enjoyed slashing, hacking, dodging powerful blows from monsters , casting spells, and discovering interesting combos by linking together available moves. Combat is essentially what makes TERA worth checking. Forget about everything else though as they are all boring.
Another good thing about TERA are the impressive animations and character models, even if all the seven playable races more or less resembles a checklist of Korean MMO generics--elf race, check, demonic race, check, creepy child-like race, check. The smoothness of the animation also serves another purpose aside from charm. Other than the usual foes one encounters, TERAs zones are full of Big Ass Monsters (BAMs) as well. While their blows can reduce your health quickly to half, their movements show a pattern a seasoned player can easily recognize to dodge their attacks and avoid damage. BAMs are the ultimate test for the high-speed gameplay and I say I enjoyed it. In other MMOs I played, one can only defeat an enemy of this size by a group or similarly-leveled players. Not with TERA though. After spending seventeen hours on it, I was able to enjoy my class and read a monster's movements well enough to easily handle them. While the game still recommends going with a group in dealing with BAMs, I find it more exciting to operate solo to chip away one BAM at a time. Other than this, TERA does not offer any other interesting aspects of an interesting MMO.

So now I get to try this out in Feb and be a fat little cat. Should be a decent break from SWTOR, which despite what everyone says I love, and the F2P actually convinced me to buy a 2 month membership card.

Seriously though I want to play a fat little cat in a leather jacket and aviator shades. Terminator style.
