The free DLC at launch in Japan was the map needed to unlock Marth, so I'm assuming that it would just be that again. If they follow the Japanese schedule again, that'll stay free for about two weeks. If not... I get to try and guess how/if Europe will get all the DLC based on how America gets it.
Only two weeks? Well hopefully then getting to the 5th chapter and finishing it won't be to hard.

It's possible. That one NSMB2 DLC has been free for 2-3 months before you had to pay for it.
Yeah I actually forgot about that tbh.

I'm pretty curious on what the free DLC at launch will consist of. Whether it will include one of the FE lords or just new maps.

I don't see them keeping it free for that long.

Considering I took 150 hours to beat Radiant Dawn, and that was during a winter break when I had tons of time, you can probably see why I might be concerned, lol. Plus I'll be looking at the strategy guide quite a bit, too. Well I guess we'll just see what happens, but I highly doubt I'll complete 5 missions in the first week.
Then you better hope that they keep it free for at least a month or two so you can catch up.

Well it depends on how the game is. Something is telling me it won't be quite as deep as Radiant Dawn.

Tenshi: I had to merge the posts from the old thread into this one under what was already posted here. So yours did come after. It is kind of confusing but eh.

I think the DLC will fine for us who plan to get it on release date. Because if they release the DLC every week, then you do have a week to complete the DLC. The only worry is how long it will take to get to the fifth level. I thought the game actually came out on the Sunday like normal but I had to look to see they changed it to Monday. I usually don't work Mondays so I'm good.

I don't know, Gotenks, I find the news thread thing confusing from the actual forum threads. I wish everything would just stick to forum threads, because I usually try to post from there, but it seems like there's multiple things of the same topic going on so I don't even know anymore.

Yeah I'll purchase some DLC, DLC is good. I just don't like when it gets too overwhelming. But whatever, I guess we'll just see when it gets here.

I was more or less referring to how somewhere something said that you will be able to access the DLC area after you complete level 5 or something, but that there's some DLC releasing for free only for a short time. Seeing as FE:A is being released on a Monday,, I probably won't get to play it until that weekend, so I don't want to miss out on the limited DLC.

Tenshi: Lies. You posted almost two days after I merged the threads. The merged time stamp says so.

Wouldn't you prefer to purchase the DLC so you have more to play the game? I love when companies do that because it makes me get my moneys worth.

Gotenks - Pretty sure I posted that comment before the threads were merged, but yeah it looks interesting.

2 Comments:
1. I can tell this game is going to cost a lot of money >_>
2. Too much content, I feel overwhelmed, because I always want everything. It's a lot easier on me if things are more linear. It's probably going to take me several hours to reach the 5th mission, and FE Releases on a Monday, right at the beginning of a busy school week, so I hope Uni stuff doesn't interfere with me missing out on the early DLC.

Tenshi: From what I posted at the top of this page:

quote
Players with a copy of Fire Emblem Awakening and a broadband Internet connection will be able to access the downloadable content through the Outrealm Gate located on the in-game world map, which will be unlocked after the player completes the fifth mission in the main story mode.
So we probably could access the DLC maps at any time.

It would appear so.
