They really need some originality. Rehashing the same old expansions and slapping a $40 price tag on there is bad business. Of course, this is EA, they won't stop. They're not getting my money, though.

Ambitions was a step in the right direction, but we've seen nothing new for the series since then.

Can't wait wait to pay 40 more dollars for an expansion!

Not. EA will never get my support.

They already did it with with the new SimCity.
And here I thought no one liked it because there were no disasters. Guess I was quite wrong.
Forced multiplayer mode (no single player), online only "MMO" style game, can't save, PLENTY of cut content to be later sold at a shop like the sims 3 shop, heavily limiting custom mods (basically trying to eliminate the modding community that way it can sell stuff that would have normally been free in mods) and expansions planned since before the main game was even developed.

Oh and no disasters. But yeah typical EA bullshit. I hope Sims 4 never gets made because I can't stand yet another series of mine going to total and complete shit. I just don't have it in me anymore.

a forced and unwanted and probably not even good multiplayer mode. The base game will also not include any of the expansions it should have that way there can be the exact same expansions with one or two new ones to resell. No thanks.
One of the first two console sims actually had multiplayer in it, either the Sims or the Sims Bust'in Out.

Also thats what I don't like about the Sims 3, it looks too much like the Sims 2.5 rather than an actual upgrade worth getting excited about. Having mostly the same expansions with a bit of tweaking doesn't help. Maybe if I didn't already have the Sims 2 or the expansions were cheaper I'd seriously consider getting it.

Can't we just... get a Sims 4?

At the rate EA have been on a downward spiral when it came to pleasing the fans, expect an always online DRM where you can't even save if your not connected, a forced and unwanted and probably not even good multiplayer mode and expect more than half the content to be locked in TheSims4 shop. The base game will also not include any of the expansions it should have that way there can be the exact same expansions with one or two new ones to resell.

No thanks.
What scares me about that is that is ACTUALLY sounds like something EA would do to The Sims.

Yeah, I'd be more interested in this than more expansions. I tend to buy the core game, maybe one expansion, play the hell out of those for a few months, and then I'm ready for the next game.
